Disabled People's Company

The DPC or Disabled Peoples’ Company is a friendly, social support group for people with physical disabilities, their parents, partners and interested friends.

The group meets together each Wednesday morning at Mooroolbark Community Centre between 10.30am and 12.30pm for a cuppa and chat. The regular event gives members a great opportunity to get out of the house and catch up with friends.

Each year the group (which is non-religious and non political) shares a catered lunch with some members from Mooroolbark Christian Fellowship, who cater for the event.

At this year’s luncheon, the DPC celebrated its 19th birthday. Elsie Bolwell writes: I can’t believe it to be 19 years that we have been meeting – so many Wednesdays making scones and cakes!

One member – Fritz van Reymersdael – has been very successful in encouraging the Shire to fix up access difficulties around the Streets and Roads of Mooroolbark.

If you’re interested in more information about the DPC, you could ring Elsie Bolwell - 9726 4004, or Write to PO Box 85, Mooroolbark, 3138.
