There are a couple of short clips about the Celebrate Mooroolbark Street Parade and also the Celebrate Mooroolbark Talent Quest you can click onto on the home page.

As our glorious autumn continues, think back!

Much to enjoy for all the generations!

A Beautiful Day

As someone remarked: This is our first time at Celebrate Mooroolbark - it's the best festival we've ever been to...

Beautiful weather, relaxed atmosphere, buckets of things to do and see. Thanks to the volunteers who organise this wonderful day out for those living and working in our region! We'll attempt to bring you more photos soon - but here a shot of the crowd listening at the Community Stage as the Australian Youth Band prepare to play, and locals enjoying their few minutes of fame in the growing Parade.

And thanks to the sponsors who make the festival possible! Yarra Ranges Council, the Professionals, Mooroolbark Community Bank, Goodlife, Mooroolbark Lions, Mooroolbark Christian Fellowship (publishers of Living Today in Mooroolbark), St Francis in the Fields Anglican Community, Rokat, not to mention politicians and a horde of local businesses who contribute prizes for competitions. Thanks, too, Barry Austin for the photos.

Looking forward to sharing the day with you!

See you in 2015

Recent happenings in our town!

Sculptor Jonathan Leahey installs the crested pigeon - one of five new sculptures gracing Hookey Park, where the annual Carols by candlelight and Twilight Picnic recently took place.

Not too long ago - close to Remembrance Day, we witnessed the unveiling of new plaques in the War Memorial.

And moving away from Hookey Park - following an eight year process the new Station precinct was opened - witnessed by a small crowd of local community members, Shire and State government employees, and representatives of the construction company. Particular thanks go to Lisa Whitehouse from the YRC (pictured far left) for her diligent staying power throughout the planning and consultation processes followed by the construction and delivery.

Go on go on go on...

Oh go on! You can manage a free brekky!
